CNY Steamboat with Sec Sch Gang

From my previous blog Pre CNY Friday (Fright day!), I said I would blog about the steamboat with the sec sch gang. So here it goes... =P

It was our first time celebrating Chinese New Year together as a whole gang, and it was also my first time going to Joleen's house and also my first time having steamboat with the sec sch gang. Everyone was here, except Jing Zhou.... who couldn't make it because he went for some other partyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy..........................................................

So anyway, Kao ren and I bought some CNY cookies and oranges because well, we were visiting other people's house afterall. Not nice to go empty handed lar... some more using other people's house to do steamboat. LOL!!! Its just a pity I forgot something for the sweet and cute little boy called Hamtaro Rami Ghada, who later became the subject of our main "dish"..... Oh, no no, we ain't cannibals, he's just a male hamster. =P

Initially when Kao Ren and I arrived outside Joleen's doorsteps, I pretended to be a lost foreigner and called Joleen to come down and pick me up. Actually I was planning to surprise her when she opened the door, but it took her soooooo long to open the darn door! In fact, I started to think that we were outside the wrong house... Then I heard someone coming, and I got all so excited, I stood beside the door waiting to scare Joleen. When the door opened......... It was I who got shocked! Well, instead of Joleen, I saw her mother... and was.... shocked and speechless... -_-" It was so surprising that well, I just didn't know what to say except to step into the house and "erm.. Hi Auntie.. =X". Hahaha. Actually Joleen had called wee hung to pick us up and poor hung waited for us at the bus stop! LOL!!! =X

Since we arrived early, Kao and I offered to help do the preparation but Joleen insisted there isn't any need for it, until she threw some vege meant for us to eat into the rubbish bin!!! She says its my fault for distracting her by talking to her while she is cutting the vege. But well, I couldn't risk having more vege been thrown into the rubbish bin, so I took over the cutting job and ended up cutting Vege, Tou Fu, Fish slice and etc etc.... Quite fun actually, and Wee Hung was soooo bored, he was taking photo's of.... "the chopper....." =P





The steamboat went quite well. Joleen's mother cooked some soup for our steamboat. Think it was spare rib herbal soup, it was very nice, especially after all the ingredients went in. LOL!!




After we completed dinner and finish cleaning up the place + washing the dishes + digesting, we played taboo.





It was freaking funny especially watching people like blondie and bun bun communicate in their own world..... And eventually, hung joined them in the same world as well.... Joleen doing the "fweeesh... pom pom pom pom" sound + action was actually sufficient for Wee Hung to guess fireworks... And when I thought that was -_-" and >.< enough.... Joleen moved her fingers to and fro and said "tak tak tak tak tak...." and shi lin immediately guessed "abacus"... -_-""""""

At the end of the day, I guess everyone was too full to eat Hamtaro.... So we'll leave him for next time. Joleen, make sure you feed him well so he becomes more meaty. Hahahahha!!!!

It was a great time together, hope to have more of this often! It ended off greatly as well, with me having a chance to take another ride in my brother's RX-8 back home to JB with him as the driver!

Wanted to blog about this quite a long time ago, but forgot about it coz I wanted to do some photo editing first. =P

Saw this notice in the Elevator in my work place. They put it up so we will park on our designated spots. But hmph... Can't help but to laugh at the english. LOL!!!

Realising Your Worth

Pre CNY Friday (Fright day!)

CNY holidays was filled with lots of ups and downs, but I'm so glad it ended on a good note!

It started horribly. I took the day off on Friday so I could go back earlier and avoid the rush home. Somehow, my neighbors were in some sort of rampant mode as well and boy were they making a monkey of themselves. I wasn't able to sleep well even though I tried to sleep at around 12AM+. I ended up having to wake up again at around 2+ and later 4+. And for God knows what reason, although it was quiet, i woke up again around 5+!!!! Well, since I agreed to set off at 7AM, i woke up at 6+ to get myself ready. After meeting up with Kao Ren, we went for breakfast and decided to take something from my house. Thats when the blur me reversed my car and accidently bang into another person's car. (It is officially my first accident with REAL damage). Yeah well, the damage wasn't so bad, it was just a dent on his car and mine, so I gave him my namecard, told him to fix it, keep the receipt and call me when his done so I can compensate. Luckily enough, he seems like a decent guy (he was with mommy =X).

When I reached back to JB, had to help mummy run errands since she fractured her right hand and couldn't use it. It was here that I met another small accident. This time it was people who bang me! -_-" It was the road between Leisure Mall and Maybank. Lots of cars parked by the road side and as I was trying to squeeze in, this other car also just squeezed in. He drove pretty quickly and hit my side mirrors and just drove off! Luckily, its just some scratches, nothing serious...

Now my car has this little dent at the back, and naked wheels! Yeah....
All protons come with this stock black rim's with plastic covers to cover the ugly rim. So yeah, initially my plastic cover on my right wheel dropped off, but when I came back to work, I manage to find it down the hill at INTI. So I took it back, and had my mechanic tie a string so it won't drop off. But oh well, maybe my wheels were feeling too hot and insisted on stripping... So my left wheels decided to throw his cover away and it was never to be found again....

I decided to grant my wheels their wish, and stripped of all 4 wheels of their clothes. Now their all naked and black. Looks a little ugly though.. now considering if I should get new rim's, or wait till my next tyre change, or just leave it as it is. I'll need to think about it... hmph...

I had a great "Sec Sch Gang" reunion dinner on Saturday, but I'll blog about it another day! ^_^

My buddy Kao Ren introduced this girl to me, Kina Grannis. Heard a few songs from her, got a great voice, but this one in particular, is my favourite. ^_^
